Summer Solstice Run

Happy summer solstice running folks!

It was a struggle to get out of bed at 5am but worth it for a stunning Ibiza trail run this morning.

Dawn at Portinatx

Watched the sun come up then scrambled/scampered over rocky trails, through woods, along cliffs - eek๐Ÿ‘€ about turn the route has disappeared over the cliff!! - and down to hidden coves.

My Vivo FGs held up well but for the last 30 mins my soles of meat ๐Ÿ‘ฃ were feeling the rocks. To be fair that's my longest trail run in these shoes. Howies merino wool running top is awesome - stays cool and doesn't reak of sweat after; like most of my conventional man-made tops.

After 2.5 hours I was ready for a swim - incredible water at Cala San Vicente, crystal clear, wonderfully refreshing - a bit warmer than my last swim here in December!! Followed by a delicious breakfast @theboathouseibiza, although the carrot cake I ordered in a rush of overexuberance may have been a ๐Ÿฐ too far!!! Pesky endorphins ๐Ÿ˜š๐Ÿ˜

PS: left nothing behind but my footprints๐Ÿ‘ฃ ๐Ÿ™‚
